PEELING

Peeling treatment is achieving tremendous results because it really does work!

Peeling method in combination with a special cream developed to treat various skin conditions and disorders CAN be most effective in reversing sun damage, treating acne, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, removing hyper-pigmentation, Liver spots and other visible signs of ageing. It can be used on the face, the neck, the chest (a particular problem area for women following prolonged exposure to the sun) and the hands.

Peeling can be used on all types of skin e.g. fine skin, normal skin or greasy or thick skin. It can also be used safely and effectively on black and Asian skin. There is no need for any skin preparation when using Peeling and it can be applied directly on top of makeup, although it is advisable to clean the skin with our special cleansing foam

After applying Peeling to the skin the patient will experience some mild heat or irritation. This shows the product is working. The practitioner will be looking for the first visible signs of “frosting” after which they will apply a post peel cream, which will immediately stop the irritation. After approximately 30 minutes to one hour the skin will feel more taut and healthy.

Your skin will tend to flake after 3 – 5 days and any dry flakes should be removed gently with tweezers. Not all patients shed skin in the same way, as all patients are different. Rest assured you will not shed your skin completely like a snake! When you do start to peel, do not rub the skin harshly or use exfoliate products. These can cause redness and irritation and possible infection.

Continue to use the moisturising cream supplied by your clinic as directed. It is important to remember that whilst undergoing treatment with Peeling the skin has little or no protection to UV light (both UVA and UVB). Therefore it is important not to expose the skin to sun light for at least two weeks following the Peeling treatment. You should always wear a sunscreen (minimum SPF25).
